Have not looked forward to a game as much as this one for a long time. Sense of real excitement as I feel this could be quite a defining game for us.

If we win, its starting to feel like it could be sustainable and more than the customary west ham flash in a pan, Moyes could be really onto something.

Lose and same old, same old.

One thing I am really enjoying though is the spirit and desire to compete and that really pleases me and provides confidence going into this.

I also think Behrami has a massive game soon, could it be on the day he is confirmed at the club?

Cant wait..

Dont worry I am never confident and always nervous even in the 85/86 season when we beat most sides week after week.

Each week I still sense that the wheels must be about to come off. Its understandable as a West Ham fan of 6 decades where success has been fleeting and false dawns many, Moyes says he is trying to get rid of the old "flaky" West Ham which we know. So far so good but

This will be a tough slog and we have to hope the ref and VAR do not fvck things up. We have not seen too much of that so far this season but that is a worry in itself as it feels like its due.

But even if we do lose ( worst case ) so long as we compete, let them know they are in a game, create some chances etc. I will be ok with that. A draw would not be a bad result tbh.

We were lucky they had a man sent off in the first game. They ran us ragged for the first half and I fear that they are a side that have a style very similar to ours but with more pace.

I think he might go with noble in a three tonight.

I think I’m like other posters , could be a defining game for us.

If we win, then we I’ll be looking at other results later on in the week, Spurs and Scouse draw would leave them both below us after 20 games....we need to win first.

Well, I'm surprising myself by how confident I feel about this one - must be getting used to it. Yes, it'll still be a close game, but we seem to have developed the ability to win close games, which is pretty handy, really.

I think we're harder to beat than we have been for some time, and are capable of using that as a basis to push on and win tonight.

I also think we will be more expansive in time, but tonight's perhaps too early for that.

So, not a feast of football, but maybe three points

I hate Crystal Palace, we always seem to struggle against them.

Their defence being weaker gives me a glimmer of hope, this is a great game to see how far we've progressed.

Reckon another 1 nil win for us.
